  2023-05-09

Autophagy and apoptosis have a very complex relationship, and the precise mechanism remains to be determined. At present, a large amount of research has confirmed that autophagy can protect the cell from apoptosis in special conditions such as nutrient deficiency or growth factors deprivation; the e

• We made a number of choices

  2023-05-08

We made a number of choices in the original design of our experiments. First, we used only portions of the 5′ and 3′ regulatory elements from S. cerevisiae. The sequences of these regions were known [32] and our goal was to express the Pf-DHFR at low levels. In fact, our choice of only 600 bp of the

  2023-05-06

In mice, the Tfm mutation increased the anxiety-state assessed in the novel object and in light/dark box tests, whereas no changes were detected in the open field or elevated plus maze tasks (Zuloaga et al., 2008). As for Tfm rats, this seemed to be related to an increased HPA response to stress. Th

  2023-05-06

In past, Zebra fish (Danio rerio) has emerged as a suitable model for early vertebrate development, and a number of targeted mutations in the zebrafish genome led to phenotypic alterations that resemble human diseases [34]. A 12-LOX in Zebra fish has been cloned and knock down of this zf12-LOX enzym

Through an extensive SAR optimization campaign with the 4-((2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzyl)amino)-benzenesulfonamide-based scaffold researchers have developed ML355 ((N-benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)-4((2-hydroxy-3 methoxybenzyl)amino)benzenesulfonamide) [5]. ML355 is a nonreductive, noncompetitive, reversible 12

  2023-05-06

The role of 12/15-LOX plays in autophagy Autophagy is a process by which cellular material is delivered to lysosomal to degrade the damaged organelles and proteins to facilitate nutrient recycling (Towers and Thorburn, 2016). There has been characterized three types of autophagy-macroautophagy, m

KYN Acts on AhR To Induce Tolerogenic Immunity IDO1 and TDO2 are intracellular heme-containing metalloproteins that catalyze the committing and rate-limiting step of the KYN pathway (KP) that converts the essential amino Concanamycin A tryptophan to a series of biologically active second metabol

• Norepinephrine and epinephrine are catecholamines CA release

  2023-05-06

Norepinephrine and epinephrine are catecholamines (CA) released from synaptic nerves and the adrenal gland that mediate systemic responses to nutritional stressors (Cannon and De la Paz, 1911). CA mobilize plasma glucose by suppressing insulin secretion from the pancreatic β-cell (Katada and Ui, 198
