Overall, we partially confirmed our predictions, and, when compared to the other existing dataset exploring the interaction among CRFR1, FAAH, and anxiety, our data are somewhat confirmatory. Demers and colleagues (Demers et al., 2016) found one (protective) CRFR1 minor allele (rs110402) and the (le

More recently, Vismodegib was administered in combination with Gemcitabine in a pilot clinical trial that enrolled 23 patients affected by metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma. This type of malignancy is the most frequent form of pancreas cancer and is ranked in fourth place for cancer mortality in

Receptor guanylyl cyclases play essential roles in cardiovascular and gastrointestinal (patho-)physiology, reproduction biology, cell proliferation, bone growth and sensory signal transduction and, therefore, are important pharmacological targets. Accordingly, the receptor guanylyl cyclase agonists

S-Nitrosoglutathione reductase (GSNOR) also identified as glutathione-dependent formaldehyde dehydrogenase (FDH), is a zinc-dependent dehydrogenase. It is a member of the alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) family and is called class III alcohol dehydrogenase that regulates the levels of S-nitrosothiols (

FXR Agonists Azepinol[4,5-b]indole 1 (hEC50=600nM, efficacy (eff)=100%) was identified as a FXR agonist lead from a high-throughput screening effort. Structure–activity relationship (SAR) studies around the azepine ring demonstrated that dialkyl substitution at C-1 led to a 30-fold improvement in

  2022-03-22

Recent research reveals that human alkyladenine DNA glycosylase (hAAG) is an important protein enzyme which can specifically recognize and excise a variety of alkylated purines and deoxyinosine from DNA [12]. hAAG plays pivotal roles in maintaining genomic integrity, and it is involved in Mometasone

Until recently the mechanism of how GSMs shifted γ-secretase cleavage was poorly understood. Today, building on the sequential cleavage model developed by Ihara and colleagues [14], there is evidence that GSMs act as processivity enhancers, and iGSMs as inhibitors of processivity [120]. At least for

Although drug monitoring is not usually requested, there are some cases where measurement of DOACs in jtc motors is useful, and of special help for managing patients at risk. These cases include the control of adherence to a therapeutic protocol, surveillance of drug accumulation risk in long term t

The organ culture method has previously shown to be a suitable model for investigations of receptor upregulation on vascular smooth muscle cells (Adner et al., 1996). In our study, the organ culture method was applied in order to examine whether LPS from P.g. was capable of altering the gene express
